Rubycon's TXW series (commonly referred to as pencil type) radial aluminum electrolytic capacitors are long and thin in profile, and are used in a wide variety of power and lighting applications for input/output filtering.

These devices are designed for long life operation of 10,000 Hours at 105°C for 8 mm diameters and higher. They are suitable for horizontal mounting to allow for thin profile applications such as straight-tube LED designs.

The production technology was originally developed for the digital camera market, in which Rubycon has maintained a dominant worldwide position. 35 to 450 V standard models are offered, with 500 V options also available.
