XR20M1280 UARTs with Integrated Level Shifters
MaxLinear XR20M1280 is the industry's fastest UART with a selectable I²C/SPI interface. The XR20M1280 single-channel UARTs with integrated level shifters have a maximum data rate of 24 Mbps and 128 bytes of transmit and receive FIFOs. The maximum clock frequency on the SPI interface is 26 MHz. XRM20M1280 single-channel UARTs can interface with devices operating at different voltage levels, eliminating the need for an external voltage-level shifter. The independent TX/RX Baud Rate Generator feature allows the transmitter and receiver to operate at different baud rates. The XR20M1280 has a 16550 compatible register set that provides users with operating status and control, receiver error indications, and modem serial interface controls. An internal loopback capability allows onboard diagnostics. XR16M890 single-channel UARTs can interface with devices operating at different voltage levels, eliminating the need for an external voltage-level shifter. These single-channel UARTs target a variety of portable applications, including smartphones, Bluetooth®, personal digital assistants, GPS systems, and other battery operated devices.Learn More
