MAX17232 & MAX17233 Dual Buck Controllers
Maxim MAX17232 & MAX17233 Synchronous Dual Buck Controllers are step-down DC-DC controllers with integrated MOSFETs. Each device operates over a 3.5V to 36V input voltage range with 42V input transient protection. The MAX17232 & MAX17233 converters operate in dropout condition by running at 95% of the duty cycle. These controllers generate fixed output voltages of 3.3V/5V and feature the capability to program the output voltage between 1V to 10V. The MAX17232 & MAX17233 converters use a current-mode-control architecture. Each device can be operated in pulse-width modulation (PWM) or pulse frequency modulation (PFM) control schemes. The PWM operation provides constant frequency operation at all loads and is useful in applications sensitive to switching frequency. The PFM operation disables negative inductor current and additionally skips pulses at light loads for high efficiency. The MAX17232 & MAX17233 converters come with low-resistance on-chip MOSFETs that ensure high efficiency at full load and simplify the layout.
MAX1722/MAX1723/MAX1724 Step-Up DC-DC Converters
Maxim MAX1722/MAX1723/MAX1724 Step-Up DC-DC Converters are compact, high-efficiency, step-up DC-DC converters that are available in tiny, 5-pin TSOT packages. These devices feature an extremely low 1.5µA quiescent supply current to ensure the highest possible light-load efficiency. These devices are optimized for operation from one to two alkaline or nickel-metal-hydride (NiMH) cells, or a single Li+ cell. These DC-DC converters are ideal for applications where extremely low quiescent current and ultra-small size are critical. The built-in synchronous rectification significantly improves efficiency, reduces size and cost by eliminating the need for an external Schottky diode.
