The HMC453 devices are high dynamic range GaAs, InGaP, heterojunction bipolar transistor (HBT), 1.6 W MMIC power amplifiers operating between 0.4 GHz and 2.2 GHz. Packaged in miniature 16-lead QSOP and SOT89 packages, the gains of the amplifiers is typically 20.5 dB and 21 dB at 400 MHz or 7.5 dB and 8 dB at 2,100 MHz. Utilizing a minimum number of external components and a single 5 V supply, the output IP3s of the amplifiers can be optimized to 49 dBm and 51 dBm at 2.1 GHz. The high output IP3 and PAE make the HMC453 devices ideal power amplifiers for cellular/PCS/3G, WLL, ISM, and fixed wireless applications.
