Si3484 PoE Power Manager
Silicon Labs Si3484 is a power manager used with Si3459 Power over Ethernet(PoE) Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) controllers for power managing upto 64 ports with three power sources. The power manager is capable of delivering over 30W per port and hence a very large power supply is needed to avoid overload. The Si3484 simplifies system implementation of power management and the controller is programmed via a SPI or UART interface. The Si3484 uses real time overload and current monitoring capability of Si3459 to manage power shared among 64 ports. The power manager can manage three power supplies automatically, enabling or disabling ports in priority order.
