Maxim Integrated's MAX2991 power-line communication (PLC)integrated analog front end (AFE)transceiver is a state-of-the-art ICthat delivers high integration and superb performance while reducing thetotal system cost. The MAX2991 PLC AFE transceiver isthe first analog front end specifically designed for OFDMmodulated signal transmission over power lines. This Maxim Integratedtransceiver operates in the 10kHz to 490kHz band. Theprogrammable filters allow compliance with CENLEC, FCC, and ARIBstandards using the same device. The MAX2991 AFE transceiverfeatures an integrated band select filter, AGC, and 10-bit ADC for Rxpath and also provides a variable sampling rate up to 1.2Msps.
