NXP Semiconductor MPC8306 and MPC8306S PowerQUICC II Pro Processors are ultra low-end MPC830x communications processors based on the e300 core architecture that provide improved price-to performance ratio, increased industrial functionality, and enhanced interface efficiencies while maintaining code compatibility with PowerQUICC I and PowerQUICC II processors. The e300 core is built on Power Architecture® technology with 16KB of L1 instruction and data cahces, dual integer units, and on-chip memory management units. NXP MPC8306 and MPC8306S processors also include two DMA engines and a 16-bit DDR2 memory controller running at 266 MHz. NXP MPC8306 and MPC8306S PowerQUICC II Pro Processors address the requirements of networking applications, including I/O cards for low-end base stations, residential gateways, modem/routers, industrial control, factory automation, and test/measurement applications.Learn More
