Analog Devices Microcontroller Units (MCUs) can be used in a multitude of Internet of Things (IoT) processing applications. With built-in ADCs, DACs, and temperature sensors, the microcontrollers provide the analog and digital sensing functions that support interpreting capabilities in precision-sensing applications. Some of these MCUs can be powered by a single coin-cell battery with on-board power management, along with embedded memory and security features to help protect IP. These microcontrollers can be used in industrial, automotive, and instrumentation applications, as well as IoT applications such as Smart Agriculture, Smart Building, Smart City, Smart Factory, and Smart Health.
ADuCM36x ARM Cortex-M3 MCUs
Analog Devices ADuCM36x Microcontrollers (MCUs) provide a fully integrated, 3.9kSPS, 24-bit data acquisition system. These MCUs incorporate high-performance sigma-delta (Σ-Δ) analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), a 32-bit ARM Cortex™-M3 processor. The ADuCM36x devices also include an on-chip 32kHz oscillator and an internal 16MHz high-frequency oscillator. The ADuCM36x integrates on-chip peripherals such as the UART, I²C, and dual SPI serial I/O communication controllers. Additional peripherals include a 16-bit PWM with 6 output channels, 19-pin GPIO ports, 2 general-purpose timers, wake-up timer, and system watchdog timer. Designers can configure the microcontroller in a normal operating mode that consumes 290μA/MHz (including flash/SRAM IDD). The normal operating mode results in an overall system current consumption of 1mA when all peripherals are active. With its low-power operation, the ADuCM36x MCUs are ideally suited to operate in battery-powered applications where low power operation is critical.Learn More
