The ISL9R3060G2 is a STEALTH™ diode optimized for low loss performance in high frequency hard switched applications. The STEALTH™ family exhibits low reverse recovery current (IRR) and exceptionally soft recovery under typical operating conditions. This device is intended for use as a free wheeling or boost diode in power supplies and other power switching applications. The low IRR and short ta phase reduce loss in switching transistors. The soft recovery minimizes ringing, expanding the range of conditions under which the diode may be operated without the use of additional snubber circuitry. Consider using the STEALTH™ diode with an SMPS IGBT to provide the most efficient and highest power density design at lower cost.

The RHRG3060 is a hyperfast diode with soft recovery characteristics. It has the half recovery time of ultrafast diodes and is silicon nitride passivated ionimplanted epitaxial planar construction. These devices are intended to be used as freewheeling/ clamping diodes and diodes in a variety of switching power supplies and other power switching applications. Their low stored charge and hyperfast soft recovery minimize ringing and electrical noise in many power switching circuits reducing power loss in the switching transistors.
Electrical Vehicle DC Fast Chargers
DC charging stations are designed to convert the electrical grid’s AC power into DC power that can then be fed directly into a vehicle’s battery system for fast charging – in 30 minutes or less. Because the conversion from AC to DC power is being done in the charging station, these units can provide higher levels of power (50kW to 350kW and beyond) to the vehicle compared to AC charging stations. Working with tens to hundreds of kilowatts of power, efficient conversion, reliability of the system, and user safety are critical.
