The quasi QR CoolSET series continues to deliver design agility and miniaturization. Upon the successful F3 CoolSET, this new series offer the possibility of higher efficiency and better EMI performance. The digital frequency reduction feature score a very stable operation with decreasing load change, and the fold-back correction keep the maximum power limits within tolerance desired by SMPS designers. Quasi Resonant CoolSET™ Power ICs: Infineon Quasi Resonant CoolSET™ Power ICs are optimized for off-line switch power supplies in cascode configurations. The ICs are housed in single packages with two separate chips; one is a controller chip and the other is an HV MOSFET chip. The ICs can achieve lower EMI and higher efficiency with improved digital frequency reduction through the proprietary novel Quasi Resonant operation.
