CS89xx Crystal LAN Ethernet Controller
Cirrus Logic CS8900A and CS8952 are Crystal LAN™ single-chip IEEE 802.3 Ethernet controllers / transmitters. The Cirrus Logic CS8900A Crystal LAN Ethernet Controller is optimized for the Industry Standard Architecture (ISA) bus and general purpose microcontroller buses. The CS8900A features a highly integrated design that eliminates the need for costly external components required by other Ethernet controllers. The Cirrus Logic CS8952 Crystal LAN 100BASE-X and 10BASE-T Transceiver uses CMOS technology to deliver a high-performance, low-cost 100BASE-X / 10BASE-T Physical Layer (PHY) line interface. The CS8952 makes use of an adaptive equalize optimized for noise and near end crosstalk (NEXT) immunity to extend receiver operation to cable lengths exceeding 160m.
