BQ24380 Front-End Protection IC
OMO Electronic' BQ24380 Front-End Protection IC is designed to provide protection to Li-ion batteries from failures of the charging circuit. The IC continuously monitors the input voltage and battery voltage. In case of an input over-voltage condition, the IC immediately turns off the internal pass FET and if the battery voltage rises to unsafe levels while charging, power is removed from the system. The IC is ideal for a variety of applications, including mobile phones, bluetooth headsets, portable navigation devices, and portable media players.
