AM4961A Single Phase BLDC Motor Driver
Diodes Inc. AM4961A is a highly integrated feature rich single phase Brushless Direct Current (BLDC) motor control driver for fans, blowers, extractors and motors. The device is part of AM496x motor driver family. For system flexibility, the motor speed can be controlled by a voltage signal from either external control voltage or a PWM signal and has a minimum speed setting. In the motor industry, protection is critical. To help protect the motor coil, the AM4961A provides an easily programmable rotor lock protection and thermal shutdown. Additionally, FG and RD pins include internal resistance of 25© to help prevent circuit burn-out due to reverse connections. The open-collector Rotor Lock Detect (RD) pin and Frequency Generator (FG) pins allow external interfaces to monitor motor rotation and status. The AM4961A is available in thermally capable TSSOP-14EP and SSOP-16 packages.Learn More
