NCP1339 High Frequency Quasi-Resonant Controllers
ON Semiconductor NCP1339 Controllers are designed as highly-integrated quasi-resonant flyback controllers that drive rugged, high-performance offline power supplies. Proprietary valley-lockout circuitry ensures stable valley switching during the quasi-resonant current-mode flyback stage. To eliminate switching losses, the NCP1339 works down to the sixth valley and toggles to a frequency foldback mode. When the loop tends to force below 25kHz frequencies, the NCP1339 skips cycles to contain the power delivery. The power savings mode and integrated active X-cap discharge features allow no-load power consumption below 10mW for 45W notebook adapters. The NCP1339 controller includes several key protective features to help develop rugged converters. These protection features include non-dissipative overpower protection, latched overvoltage protection, and internal brown-out. Non-dissipative overpower protection ensures constant maximum output current regardless of the input voltage.Learn More
