Real-Time Clock ICs
Ricoh Electronic Devices Company Real-Time Clock (RTC) ICs perform serial transmission of time and calendar data to a CPU. R2061 3-wire interface RTC is connected to the CPU by CE, SCLK, and SIO signal lines. R2061 includes a battery backup switchover circuit and a voltage detector. This Ricoh IC features 0.75V minimum supply voltage and 0.4µA low power consumption. R2061 includes a periodic interrupt circuit that is configured to generate interrupt signals with six selectable interrupts ranging from 0.5 seconds to one month. The two-alarm interrupt circuits generate interrupt signals at preset times. RS5C372A is a CMOS type RTC connected to the CPU via two wires. RS5C372A can generate various periodic interrupt clock pulses lasting for a long period (one month). Alarm interrupt can be made by days of the week, hours, and minutes by two incorporated systems. RS5C372A features an oscillation circuit driven at a constant voltage. As a result of this constant voltage, this RTC undergoes few voltage fluctuations and offers low current consumption (0.5µA typical at 3V).Learn More
