MAX17261 Fuel Gauge ICs
Maxim Integrated MAX17261 Fuel Gauge ICs are designed to use ModelGauge™ m5 algorithm to monitor multiple-series cell battery pack with an external resistor divider. The ModelGauge m5 algorithm simplifies host software integration and eliminates battery characterization requirements, thereby making fuel gauge implementation easy. These MAX17261 ICs feature 1mΩ to 1000mΩ wide sense resistor range, PCB metal sensing, temperature compensation, thermistor, time-to-empty, and time-to-full estimation. The algorithm provides industry-leading fuel gauge accuracy by combining linearity of a coulomb counter and short-term accuracy with long-term stability of a voltage-based fuel gauge.
