Fred Pt® Gen4 Recovery Diodes
Vishay Fred Pt® Gen4 Recovery Diodes are mainly designed for use with their new Trench® IGBTs. These ultrafast diodes are available in 600V and 650V variants, which reduce conduction losses and increase efficiency. The Fred Pt Gen4 recovery diodes are designed with "U" and "H" series ultrafast diodes. The "U" series diodes feature low forward voltage down to 1.4V for 600V diodes and are optimized to deliver high speeds for higher frequency applications. The "H" series diodes offer reverse recovery times down to 25ns with low typical forward voltages down to 1.65V for 600V devices. Typical applications include high-frequency converters in power modules, motor-drives, UPS, solar inverters, DC/DC converters, boosters, choppers, and secondary-side rectification.
FRED Pt Ultrafast Recovery Rectifiers
Vishay Semiconductors FRED (Fast Recovery Epitaxial Diodes) Pt Ultrafast Recovery Rectifiers offer designers a highly flexible solution that's equally at home in consumer and automotive applications. With ratings from 100V to 600V and from 2A to 150A - unique in the industry - this series allows designers to increase the efficiency of power supplies with devices designed to minimize conduction and/or switching losses. Their extreme low leakage current at high temperature, careful design of chip terminations, and construction with high-quality materials make FRED Pt the ideal choice for automotive applications as well.
