Advances in LED chip technology require lower power in the 1 W to 3 W range for LED illumination. RECOM's two new series (3 W and 6 W) meet the growing demand for low cost drivers. With an input voltage range of 90 to 264 VAC the new drivers can be used universally worldwide. The RACD03 can drive three 1 W LEDs with 350 mA or a single 2 W LED with 700 mA constant current. The RACD06 can drive six 1 W LEDs with 350 mA constant current or two 2 W LEDs with 700 mA constant current. They contain an input filter and meet EN61347, EN55015 and FCC18A without any additional external components. The converters offer 3 kVAC isolation and are CE and EN safety certified with UL8750 certification pending. The LED drivers are designed to provide a long, trouble-free life and are rated at >20,000 hours, equivalent to eight hours daily operating time up to seven years.
