Noritake's key switches are produced by using thin-film metallic glass panel so they have a lower impedance than typical indium tin oxide (ITO) touch panels. This allows for a higher S/N ratio, wider touch sense margin, and better overall sensitivity. Other than the general 4 × 4 key matrix method, the serial interface can be selected by using fewer wires and it accepts the commands to adjust touch sensitivity and response data format.
